We believe in thinking outside the schoolroom, literally. Children need to live, laugh, play, and learn in our natural world. They need to get their hands dirty. They need to experience how our earth takes care of us.
Children need to learn that maple syrup doesn’t grow on trees! It grows in trees!
We are so excited to design a curriculum for students of all ages spanning biology, reading, history, math, ecology, botany, and other curiosities.
“We are all meant to be naturalists, each in his own degree, and it is inexcusable to live in a world so full of the marvels of plant & animal life and to care for none of these things.”
– Charlotte Mason
“Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.”
– Mr. Rogers
“We are never more fully alive, more completely ourselves, or more deeply engrossed in anything than when we are playing.”
– Charles Schaefer
“Children are born with a sense of wonder and an affinity for nature. Properly cultivated, these values can mature into ecological literacy, and eventually into sustainable patterns of living.”
